atricia grew up in Southern California and attended Principia College in Elsah, Illinois, where she and her husband graduated. She also went to LA Art Center College of Design for 2 years. With 4 children (3 of which are grown and 1 in high school who still lives at home) and 4 young grandchildren, Luke, Kai, Himalaya (Molly), and Tuckerman (Tuck), they have lived in Utah, Massachusetts, and California where they currently reside on a very small ranch.

Her favorite things in life are her husband, children and family, having lots of animals (especially Newfoundland dogs, cats, draft horses and draft mules, and Scottish Highland cows), traveling, gardening, and endlessly fixing up their home with old doors and windows. Traveling and love of Newfs are in fact how she wrote her first book Seaman's Journal. While their kids were growing up, the family drove extensively throughout the regions of the Lewis and Clark Trail.

If she's not painting, she's undoubtedly reading, and her greatest interest is Russian art, architecture, and literature. Besides that, she loves walking and running; listening to soundtracks; going to movies with her oldest son William, a cinematographer (www.WilliamEubank.com) whose most recent film Love for Angels & Airwaves was shown at the 2011 Santa Barbara Intl. Film Festival); talking about books, writing, running and mountaineering with her middle son Carlyle who graduated last Spring from Amherst College and who has been climbing in the Andes and Himalayas this year; admiring her youngest son Winchester's amazing skills in archery and crafting bows, kung fu and wrestling, and anything outdoorsy; and visiting her daughter Rosanna–who is the Director of the Wilmot, NH Library and an author– and her husband and their three sons and daughter in their home—a cozy 1880's New England schoolhouse they are fixing up.

  • On Saturday October 15, Patti will be signing her new Halloween book at the bookstore Curious Cup in Carpinteria, CA.
